FMCSA has updated the CSA SMS Website with the September 29, 2017 results.
With these new results, motor carriers participating in FMCSA’s Crash Preventability Demonstration Program will see more of the Agency’s final determinations on SMS for crashes reviewed as part of the program.
FMCSA posts all crashes with preliminary determinations of Not Preventable to DataQs for 30 days to allow any member of the public with documentation or data that refutes the initial determination to submit it to the Crash Preventability Demonstration Program. Once FMCSA completes its review of a submitted crash, the Agency posts the final determination to the SMS within 60 days.
Additional SMS results are available to enforcement users and carriers that are logged into the SMS. Logged-in carriers with crashes determined to be Not Preventable, as part of the Crash Preventability Demonstration Program, can view measures and percentiles calculated with and without those crashes.
